After buying myself a new lens, I got shiny new Nikon D300s as a Christmas present

As I won't be using the old one anymore, I would like to offer it to someone of you.

Yesterday I bought myself a very nice early Christmas gift. It's a Nikkor AF 80-200mm f/2.8D ED It's so big I really look forward to try it out!

In previous journals I have always featured works of other artists and now it's time for me...

During this weekend I was quite bussy with reinstalling Windows on my notebook, because it hadn't been working properly for a quite long time. I also had to back-up all my files to the external HDD and that took almost ages with so many files (mainly photos)...

But now, the reinstall is complete and I have my Windows XP working again There are still some work to do, like installing all the programs and also I have to get the colour profiles to work again so I can process my photos.

That means there will be a pause in uploading my photos. I still have a few photos that are ready for upload, but it's not much.

My friend *woxys wrote very nice article about freedom in the Czech Republic. We gained our freedom 20 years ago on the 17th of the November.

Wow, yesterday one of my photos reached 100 favourites It's this photo of lion from Prague Zoo. No other photo of mine has so many favs



But this race for reaching the century was quite "dramatic". For the last one or two months, the deviation with most favs was a photo of a polar bear. (now 99 favs)



Also what I find quite interesting, these two photos are the very same photos that are hanging on the walls of the flat where I live. The lion is in my room and the polar bear is in my parent's room.

During last few days I was making some space on my external HDD using a very well known Delete button and I was suprised how much interesting photos I found during this process. I deleted about five thousand photos so far. And this purge will continue in the following days so in the end, I hope, there will be no unfocused/uninteresting/boring/bad photos in the folders...

I love the Delete button!

Yesterday I went to the second biggest city of the Czech Republic Brno. It is also a city where my very good friend *woxys lives and also thats why I went there. I wanted to visit her because I haven't seen her literally for ages. We had such a good time, talking about everything and also taking photos in Brno's zoo. Thank you, friend, for this great day

For the first half of the afternoon, we were lucky and the sun was shining so took very nice photos of tigers and leopards. But later, the sun was gone and heavy clouds were the only things that were left on the sky. So no more nice light for photography But still, we tried to take some photos of wolves, polar foxes and polar bears.

On Monday 26th of October, there were six cheetah cubs born in Prague zoo!
They are now in background areas where no one can disturb them. Even their breeder has limited acces to them. Everyone hopes everything will be okey. Their mother is experienced in bringing up her cubs (she already had nine of them) so there should be no problems.
