Hello All,
After 15 years of taking photos, I finally decided to have a photobook made. After all that time I gathered enough nice thematic photos to fill up at least 50 pages of a book. Fewer pages in a book would be too laborious in proportion to the book content.
As this was my first photobook and I have no experience with creating one, I tried book from Saal Digital. All I had to do was download their software and simply start inserting photos into the pages. There was also an option to automatically create the book from selected photos but I was not really satisfied with the result.
I was really curious about the result, mainly how the colours will look. And they were the same I saw on my calibrated display. It was worth buying the calibration device and now I am not dissapointed from the result. Areas of black are compact and without splotches. But also the slightl differences in colours are distinguishable.
Another thing I liked very much is that the paper is quite thick so it does not fold easily.
So next time, I will have my photobook made by Saal Digital again.
Check out my facebook page with photos of this book (as dA does not allow me to post photos in my journal) HERE
It feels so nice to flip the pages of the book and see my photos on paper and not on computer display.
